Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and operate high-performance backend services. You will work on our proprietary platforms (abemonFLOW, abemonVOICE, abemonTRANSPORT, abemonCUSTOMS) and on client projects across logistics, fintech and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and backend services
• Define data schemas and optimize PostgreSQL queries
• Build asynchronous processing pipelines with Celery/Redis
• Participate in code reviews and define engineering standards
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps and product teams
• Document architecture decisions and contribute to ADRs

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Django
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational modeling
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Knowledge of architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven)
• Professional English

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Open source contributions
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
